Jane - Equine Balancing Therapy
My acupuncturist suggested I tried EBT with Julie as she thought it might help me with my condition. Since I started my sessions with Julie my riding has improved beyond all expectations. This is mainly due to greatly improved balance which (I feel) is as a result of increased muscle tone, coordination and stamina.
My core muscles, although still weak by able bodied standards, are much improved, as is my seat and my leg muscles which, previously very wasted, have built up considerably. I have developed an improved body awareness and the ability to consciously switch muscles on and off and in turn to coordinate my movements and therefore my control of the horse. My MS physiotherapist will support what I am saying.
I do not have a horse at present but my aim is to purchase or loan in order to compete in RDA and Para dressage competitions - something I am advised I should be well able to do. I am currently assessed as a Grade II Disabled Rider,
I have e mailed Julie re photos and will get back to you.
If you need to discuss matters do not hesitate to call me.
